If you answered yes to the questions above then you are probably looking for any kind of hints and tricks that people can tell you about how to choose easy care fabrics for your furniture. Sure there are plenty of advertisements that claim this style of fabric on the furniture is easy to care for, but how do you know for sure that you are getting what you pay for? Here are the steps you should take when choosing easy care fabrics for your furniture.

The first thing that you are going to want to do is to make sure that you know that there are different types of fabrics and that not all upholstered is the same. Basically what this means is that you are going to have to do some research on the different types of fabrics that are offered for your furniture.

The next thing that you are going to want to do is to make sure that the fabric you choose has the highest thread count possible. The reason for this is that fabrics with a low thread count tend to fall apart more easily then fabrics that have a higher thread count, the higher the thread count the more durable the fabric.

Step three:
The next thing that you are going to want to look for is fabrics that made from natural fibers. The reason for this is that if you choose fabrics that are made from natural fibers, even though the stain will absorb more quickly then with man made fibers the fabric will actually clean better than the man made fibers fabric. And although fabrics made with man made fibers do resist stains they are not as easy to clean.

Step four:
The next thing that you want to look for when it comes to choosing easy care fabrics is the texture of the fabric. The reason for this is that fabrics that are highly textured tend to fray a lot easier than other textures of fabrics and the more you clean or use the furniture the more chances you have of fraying the fabric. Basically what you want to stay away from is fabrics like tweed, what you should consider are cottons or jaquards.

Step five:
You also want to consider color when it comes to choosing easy care fabrics for your furniture. The reason you want to think about color is that certain colors show more things than other colors. What this means is that dark colors show a lot of dirt and debris and light colors show soil, but a medium color with a pattern tends to hide almost everything.

Step six:
The next thing that you want to look for is if the fabrics have been treated with anything special. In looking for easy care fabrics for your furniture you are going to want to look for special treatments such as anti-stain and anti-wrinkle. Other things can be considered nut those are the two main things to watch for.

Step seven:

These instructions will give you tips and tricks on how to clean the fabric and will let you know ahead of time how easy the fabric will be to care for.
