How to clean glazed tile flooring
Tile floors are quickly becoming a popular type of flooring in houses. You will find tile floors in newly built houses, but you will also find them in houses that are being remodeled and even sometimes in older houses that have been remodeled recently. But regardless of where you are finding the tile flooring you will find either glazed or unglazed tile flooring. But the most popular type of tile flooring is the glazed flooring and the reason for that is because the glazed flooring is easier to keep clean compared to tile flooring that has not been glazed. Another great thing about tile flooring is that it is easier to maintain and keep looking like new as long as you follow a few simple steps.

Step one:
The first thing that you are going to need to do in cleaning your glazed tile flooring clean is to either sweep or vacuum the tile floor. If you are going to be using a vacuum then you are going to need to use a special attachment, the attachment that you are going to want to use is a hard floor attachment. Many vacuums come with an option to switch between carpets and hard floors, but that doesn't do very well to get in the hard to reach places or underneath counters.
Step two:
When you are sweeping or vacuuming you need to be extra alert to any of the dirt that can hide in cracks and around the wall areas, it is this tiny dirt that can cause your tiles and grout to look old and grimy over time.
Step three:
The next thing that you are going to need to do is to worry about the small and normal dirt and stains. Most tile floors will get something spilled on them at least once a day. To take care of these normal everyday occurrences you can use a damp mop (damp meaning not soaking wet, but slightly wet) or you can use something along the lines of a "Swiffer" style mop.
Step four:
For any kind of build up, basically things that are not considered normal everyday things you might need to use some kind of cleaner on the floors. When choosing a cleaner be sure to choose a mild type of cleaner so that it doesn't damage your glazed floor.
Step five:
If you have a large glazed tile floor you might want to think about buying an electric floor cleaner or polisher. Many times steam cleaners come with the attachment that you will need for tile floors. But if you do use an electric cleaner one thing that you need to know is that the grout will need extra attention. To give the grout the extra attention you can use a bleach and water solution and apply it with a mop or you can scrub the grout separately with a toothbrush that is used for cleaning purposes.
Step six:
The next thing that you need to do is to rinse the glazed tile floor. If you are only using water and a mop then rinsing the floor is going to require you to use some clean water to rinse. If you have used any kind of chemical then you are going to need to get clean water and make sure that you rinse the floor with special care so that the cleaner doesn't set into the tile and cause any kind of damage.
Step seven:
The last thing that you need to do is to dry the floor. You can either open the windows to let the floor dry naturally or you can use terry cloth towels or rags to dry the floor by hand.
