- Follow ant trails at night for the best chance of finding their nest. Then use a paste mixture of 5 Tbs. cornmeal with 3 Tbs. of bacon grease. Add 3 Tbs. of baking powder and 3 packages of yeast. Put into jar lids around the ant nest and it will do the same thing as the cream of wheat granules.
These ideas are also great for dealing with ants that are in your garden. But be careful because some flowering plants do like the ants and both ant and plant can benefit from the friendship.
