How to keep your house cleaner, with less work.

There are many ways to keep your house clean. House work can become overwhelming at times especially if you are not able to keep up on it. It seems as life gets busier with marriage and children the house work becomes a full time job. Everybody wants a clean house but they don't want to spend all there time doing house work. There are ways in which you can cut down the time and work you spend on cleaning your house. The less work and time you spend on cleaning your house the more time you can spend doing the things you enjoy. Here are some tips on how to keep your house clean, with less work.

The first tip on how to keep your house clean with less work is don't wait until the last minute to do all your house work. When the house is a mess, you may not know where to start so you just keep putting it off until it is too much to handle. The first thing to do is getting organized. Set each day of the week for one or two simple things. This way it won't take you all day to do it. Use Mondays as Laundry day, Tuesdays for floors and so on. Make a schedule that works best for you. If you are keeping up on the house work it doesn't seem like so much work as when you leave it all for one day.

The second tip is to clean up after every meal that you have. If you clean the food off of the plate right after eating you won't have food stuck on the plate that is hard to scrub off. Clean all of your pans and wipe off your counter tops. When you do this after every meal it doesn't build up in your kitchen. Stains on your counter tops are much easier to remove if you wipe them up right after they happen. If you wait to remove stains they are much harder and take a lot more time. Cleaning up after every meal may feel time consuming but you are saving a lot of time in the long run by not scrubbing counter tops, pans and dishes.

The third tip to cleaning your house with less work is having a place for everything. If you have a designated spot for mail, the kids toys, laundry etc. it will be much easier to clean up. For example if you have your child's play room organized with pictures of all toys in the places they belong then the children can pitch in with cleaning up their own room. They are able to match the picture with toy and know that is where it belongs. This way your children can't say I don't know where it goes. By having places for everything it will help eliminate the problem of stacking things in piles because you don't know where else to put them. Have a place for everything and if you can't find a place for something asks yourself, "Do I really need this?" Don't allow for clutter in your home and cleaning will feel like a lot less work.

The fourth tip is to have everyone in the family pitch in. Do not take it upon yourself to clean up after everyone. It will be less work for you to clean your house if everyone is assigned different jobs they are in charge of. Also when everyone is helping out it helps to gain family unity. Rotate jobs between family members so nobody gets sick of the same job. By having others help out they will appreciate the work that you do.

These are some helpful hints for you on how to keep your house clean with less work. Everybody cleans differently and you need to find what works best for you and your family. The cleaner the house the more time you will have to do other things with those you love. There are other ways to keep your house clean with less work and you can go on the internet for resources on how to be more organized and how to keep a clean house.
