  1. You will need to make a list of all the herbs you would like to plant in your garden. Research the type of living conditions each herb will need to grow, not all herbs like the same environments. Some herbs like wet, shady areas, and some herbs like dry sunny places. If you have chosen herbs from both conditions then you might need to choose two different areas to have two different herb gardens.
  2. Next you will need to figure out where you are going o place your herb gardens. Where you put your garden will depend on the types of herbs you pick. Examine the entire living space that you occupy, take note of day and night conditions. Sometimes you can create your own environment that will be good for your herbs. The right environment is critical, if they do not have the right living conditions your herbs will not grow healthy.
  3. Make sure that you get the correct soil for your herbs to be planted in. You will need soil that hold water well, and gives you herbs enough air circulation. If you go to your local lawn and garden store they will help you find the right soil to plant your herb garden in. When you have the right soil you can begin planting.
  4. You can start out by planting seeds or you can get plants that have already been grown at the garden store. Be sure to keep you herbs well watered and moisturized this will help them grow to their fullest potential. Once your herbs start to grow you might want to thin out your herb garden. If your herb garden has over grown, your herbs will begin to parish, they will not have room to grow anymore. If you use your herbs often you wont have to worry about overgrowth.
  5. Once you have you herbs planted you can nourish them until they are ready to harvest. Once you harvest you herbs then you can use them to do anything. You can put your herbs in your food, you can make soaps or teas with them. The important things is that you enjoy your herb garden.
