Appliances are the best. If you did not have some of the basic appliances your life would be much more difficult, wouldn't it? Before we had dryers it was much more difficult to get those clothes dry. You had to hang them out on a line. But that was only when the weather was fairly good. What happened during most of the year when it was too cold or when it was raining or snowing? The fact was that you had to hang your clothing up over a wood burning stove. This meant that you also had to find and cut wood in order to get that stove going. So without a dryer you would have had to do tremendous amounts of work just to keep your clothes dry. A little money spent at regular intervals can translate into many more years of excellent service.
