There are a lot of different things that you will want to make sure that you keep in good repair around your house. You will want to make sure that you keep you appliances in good repair along with your lawn mower and other equipment you use for house work. But two of the most important things that you will want to make sure that you keep in good repair are your furnace and air condition. The reason for this is because when summer comes you will probably get over heated if your air conditioner is not working and in the winter you could freeze to death if your furnace is not working correctly. Here are some tips for keeping your furnace and air condition in good repair.

The first tip is to make sure that you keep your filters changed. The best way to know how often you should change your filters is to look on your filter. Some filters can be changed every 90 days when other filters may need to be changed every 30 days. It will depend on your furnace and air conditioner units.

The second tip is to make sure that your heater vents are cleaned out. The best way to ensure this is to make sure that before you turn on your furnace for the season that you vacuum out all of your heat vents so that the dust and dirt that has collected in them will not get circulated into your actual furnace.

The third tip is to make sure that if you have an air conditioner that goes on the tip of your roof that you winterize it each year and when each summer comes along you make sure to hook it up correctly and make sure to put enough water in the pads. You will also want to make sure that you keep an eye on the pads a long with the belts so that if one looks like it is rotting out you can replace or repair it before it is too late and you end up having to replace the whole air conditioner unit.

The fourth tip is to make sure that if you have central air that you do not use it in too cool of weather. If you run your central air in too cool of weather you might end up freezing up your units and ruining them. If you ruin them you will have to replace it with a new unit.

The fifth tip is to make sure that your central air units are clear of any trees or bushes or any weeds. The reason for this is because they could start growing into your units and end up causing problems and causing your units to burn up. the best thing to do is to put you're a/c units on condenser pads and have gravel around them. This way you are less likely to get a lot of growth from weeds and other debris that could cause you problems.

These are just some of the tips to keeping your furnace and air conditioner in good repair. There are a lot of other things that you can do to ensure that you keep your furnace and air conditioner in good repair it is just up to you how much time and effort you want to put into making sure that they are in good repair.
