Preparing your yard for a metal frame swimming pool
If you plan on putting up a temporary metal framed swimming pool for the summer you will need to make sure that your prep your yard. Prepping your ready for the swimming pool installation is the most time consuming part of the pool installation, but it is also the most important. The reason that it is so important is because if the pool is not installed in a prepped yard it can become a safety hazard; the pool can collapse at any point, which is something that needs to be avoided.

If you plan on putting in a temporary metal framed pool this summer here are the steps you will need to follow to prepare your yard.
Step one:
You are going to need to survey your yard and determine the best spot to place your metal framed pool. When looking for a spot to place your pool you will want to keep in mind that debris from trees can drop into the pool, which can cause the pool to become dirtier than normal.
Step two:
If you have young children or pets, you might want to think about putting a fence around your pool so it is not as easily accessible. If you decide to place a fence around the pool, you will need to pick out a spot that has enough room for a fence to go around the entire pool.
Step three:
Look around the area that you have selected for the pool. When looking around the area you will want to remove any debris that can tear the pool lining, such as sharp rocks, sticks. Even if the rocks are not sharp you should still clear them away so they won't cause problems later on, this includes all twigs, no matter how small they are.
Step four:
Figure out if the area you plan on using is level. When installing the pool you want to install it on level ground, so that the pool does not collapse from the weight of the water pushing against one side and not the other. To determine if the ground is level you will need to place a long piece of wood over the area and place a level on top of the piece of wood.
Step five:
Chances are the ground you will be using is not level, so you will need to level out the area by filling the lower portion by using top soil or sand. Once you have placed the top soil or sand in the area you will need to rake it out to create a level area. You can also dig out the higher area. You will need to continue with the leveling process until you are 100% sure the ground where the pool will be resting is level.
Step six:
Place a tarp down over the area where you are going to place the pool. Having a tarp underneath the pool will ensure that nothing can break through the bottom of the pool and tear the liner accidentally. This can happen because sometimes we miss small things like jagged rocks no matter how careful you are. Having a tarp placed down under the pool will also provide you with a spot to leave your towels and shoes before getting into the pool. Having your shoes right there helps when you get out of the pool and have to walk across the yard to get back to the house.
Step seven:
To install the pool after the ground has been leveled you will need to follow the manufacturer's instructions. You can also call them if you need more information on setting up your pool.
