Get organized
Perhaps the most important tip for always having a clean house is getting organized. Make sure you have all the cleaning supplies you need before cleaning your house. It is good to keep all supplies in the same place to make it easy and quick to get to. Part of being organized also consists of delegating responsibility to others and having a daily or weekly routine.
Delegate chores
One very important step to always having a clean house is to delegate, delegate, delegate! There's no reason that you should be cleaning your house all by yourself. If you have a spouse and children at home, then this can lighten your load as well as keeping your house nice and clean. Remember, if someone lives in your house they are also making part of the mess. This will teach them a sense of responsibility as well.
There are many jobs that can be delegated to others. Give them daily chores to accomplish such as:
Take out the garbage, counters can be cleaned, book shelves and toy areas can be organized, toys and other things can be picked up, dusting, sweeping, do laundry, and vacuum and include other daily chores like these that can be given to other family members to do.
Have a routine
Decide on a routine. One of the most important tips to having a clean house is to have a routine that you and your family can follow. This will make it easier to stay on top of all the work that is to be done around the house.
If necessary, write down your schedule. Remember everything doesn't have to all be done the same day. Schedule a routine that can be followed each week to ensure your house stays clean.
