There are few things that suggest cleanliness in a home or office than clean windows. Windows are the primary sources of light for many buildings; there is nothing more obvious than a dirty window. The light streams through the window and highlights the smudges. I have been very embarassed when company come over and notice my dirty windows. However, with kids it often seems impossible to keep the windows in a home clean. The outsides of the windows get dirty from the elements and interior sides are always smudged by children's hands. The other problem is that many glass cleaners don't really do the trick. Many of them leave annoying streaks or smudges on the glass. It can be fairly frustrating to try to clean something with a chemical that only makes it dirtier. However, there is a solution to many of your window problems! Read the following techniques if you would like to get cleaner, more brilliant windows.

In many cases the problem can be fixed by changing the cleaning agent. There is nothing magical about getting cleaner windows. It still requires the same hard work and patience, but with a good cleaning agent your job will be much easier. Never use a window cleaner that contains vinegar or ammonia. Although these chemicals have be praised for window cleaning they usually streak glass or mirrors.

Another common problem is not using enough glass cleaner. When you find a product that works for you, apply it liberally to the surface of the mirror or glass. It might require two sprays and wipes before the glass is really clean. One reason why it seems impossible to get class really clean is that we don't clean it regularly. We clean our glass once a year, but this doesn't get at the really thick dirt piling up on the surface. Windows that are not cleaned frequently get layers of dirt and grime that cannot be easily removed. If you want more radiant windows more of the time you should clean them regularly.

A friend has told me to stay away from these fancy paper towels because they contain cleaning agents. Expensive towels will not only cost more but probably make cleaning more difficult. Their dies and additives will streak your windows. A good old fashioned paper towel role will give you plenty of material for cleaning windows and it won't streak.

In summer time when it is particularly hot you should work fast because the cleaning agent will dry quickly. Do not push too hard on the windows-pushing hard will not get your windows much cleaner, although it might break one of them. Teach your children to not touch the window glass. One way to impart this important lesson is to make them clean the windows when they dirty them up. Every time your child touches a window pain make them get the spray bottle to clean up. This will instill some responsibility and help to keep the windows sparkling. You will find that children actually enjoy wiping the glass perfectly clean.

As you can see, with a little bit of work and know how you can get beautiful, sparkling windows. The key is simply to use the right cleaning agents and to avoid some common misunderstandings. Clean windos regularly to avoid build up of grime that is nearly impossible to remove. Following these basic steps will help to make your office or home brighter and happier. A home with clean windows has a level of cleanliness that cannot be achieved in any other way.
