Tip one:
Before you buy anything, make sure that you think about the purchase. When thinking about the purchase you are going to want to ask yourself if it something that you really need or if it is something that is just going to sit in your house and collect dust. If you do not need to have it or you, only want to buy it because it looks nice then you should skip the purchase because the purchase is only going to add to the clutter in your home.
Tip two:
If your house is overwhelmed with clutter, the best thing you can to get on top of the clutter is to create a list. The list is going to need to be a list of rooms that are cluttered the worst. When making the list you are going to want to prioritize the rooms based on which has the most clutter. Start getting on top of the clutter by tackling the room that has the worst clutter.
Tip three:
Once you have figured out where to start, you will need to set a schedule of when you are going to work on getting on top of the clutter. You will want to set aside a few hours each day until you have managed to get all of the clutter out of your house. People who have tried to remove all of the clutter at once tend to wear themselves out and never get the job finished. By setting aside a few hours each day you can slowly gain control of the clutter and have a better chance of getting things done.
Tip four:
Look inside your junk drawers, which can be desk drawers or drawers in your kitchen. Your junk drawers are usually filled with all sorts of miscellaneous items that you do not need, this is where a lot of clutter ends up accumulating. Look inside these drawers and get rid of at least twenty little things that you can get rid of. You need to test all of the pens to ensure that they work, if they don't work or you don't like how they work you need to get rid of them. Just because it works doesn't mean you have to keep it.
Tip five:
You need to spend a small amount of time every night cleaning up your house. Most people spend about five to ten minutes each night before they go to bed putting the miscellaneous items away that have accumulated throughout the day. Cleaning up each night helps you stay on top of the clutter because you will not have to do a massive de-cluttering once a week. You should also have your family members help in the tidying up process before they go to bed, having them clean up their own mess means less for you to have to worry about.
