Have you ever wondered if you had the right supplies for cleaning the bathroom? If you have often wondered what clean supplies you actually need for cleaning the bathroom then this is your lucky day, many commercials tell you that in order to get your bathroom germ free then you are going to need to use these cleaning supplies. And most of those cleaning supplies get rather expensive. The good news is that you don't need to spend that much money on the fancy cleaner because all you need are some of your basic cleaning supplies and equipment for a germ free bathroom.

Here are some cleaning supplies that you should have for cleaning the bathroom.

  • Latex gloves - these are a must have so that you can protect your skin from the harsh chemicals that you can use and it also prevents the germs from coming into contact with your hands. Which if they are on your hands and you wipe your face you have just transferred the germs from one place to the next.
  • Glass cleaner - this is something that you are going to need so that you can clean the mirrors and the windows in your bathroom. But glass cleaner is also great for shining up the fixtures in your bathroom, mainly the sink faucet and the bath faucet. Glass cleaner can also be used on counter tops and other surfaces, but you should keep in mind that glass cleaner is not a disinfectant so it will not get rid of germs.
  • Toilet bowl cleaner - this is going to be used on the inside of your toilet bowl and can be used to get stains out, as well as disinfecting the inside of the toilet bowl. When using it make sure that you let it sit in the bowl for a period of time so that stains are penetrated by the cleaner.
  • Disinfectant - this is going to be used to clean the outside of your toilet and can also be used on your sinks and tubs. You can also use this spray on your counter tops and windowsills. When using a spray you are going to want to let it set for about 5 minutes before you begin cleaning so that it has time to really get rid of the germs and clean deep down.
  • Soap scum remover - this is perfect for almost every bathroom, especially for bathtubs. If you have ever taken a bath or have kids who take baths you are probably well aware of how fast soap scum can build up and how hard it is to get rid of it at times. But if you buy a soap scum remover and spray it on your tub and then let it sit for about 15 minutes the soap scum will just wash right off. Same thing is true when it comes to mold and mildew removers.
  • Sponge - when cleaning the bathroom you are going to need a sponge to wipe down your sink, tub and counter tops, not to mention the outside of the toilet including the base. But when it comes to sponges you want to remember to replace them about every two to three months because they are a breeding ground for germs and when using sponges make sure that they dry out all the way before putting them away.
  • Paper towels - these are perfect for cleaning the mirrors and shining up any surfaces.
  • Toilet bowl brush - this is actually optional but because of the way the brush is made they are great for cleaning out the inside of the toilet bowl because they fit right down the hole in the toilet perfectly. But you can also use a sponge or other type of scrub brush.
  • Broom - this will be used to clean the floor so that all of the dirt is off the floor before you mop, you could also use a vacuum or dust buster instead.
  • Mop - with the mop you are going to want to mix some water and disinfectant in a bucket and then scrub the floor with the mixture so that all of the germs are killed from the floor.
