A list of ideas teaching how to be good at everything.
How to be good at everything
Have you ever met someone who seemed to be good at everything? Everybody knows an amazing person like this who has wonderful children, is kind and generous to everyone, makes the best pies, keeps a clean home, seems to pick up on everything easily and well, and has all manner of other skills. This kind of person is valued and appreciated in almost any situation they are in. It is perfectly natural to want to be like this. So the question is, how to be good at everything?
The first thing to remember is that time management is essential. One of the things that you need in order to become truly successful is to make sure that you have time to do everything. Time is so precious and generally limited, so if you can learn how to be in control of it, you'll find yourself much more able to get things accomplished. So, how do you manage your time more efficiently? One of the best ways is to try using a hand held scheduling device or a paper planner. Whichever works better for you will be fine, but writing down all of your appointments is so helpful. You will never forget the things you need to get done if you have a place to keep everything written down. Also, try to make lists. Writing things down is very helpful way to make sure that you are doing everything well.

One great thing to try when learning how to be good at everything, is to remember that you can't learn every skill overnight. Pace yourself, and focus on one thing at a time. A great way to do this is to pick one thing to focus on every month. Make a list of all the things you want to work on and improve, and devote each month to one of these things. For example, if you want to learn to make pies well, you can have pie month, and make at least two pies a week for dinner. Really focusing in on one skill you want to learn in this manner helps to actually get things done. If you're constantly trying to improve at everything, you won't have any time to really focus on anything. Try breaking it down like this, and really focus on one thing at a time. It will really help you learn how to be good at everything.
A good place to start is to inventory the things you're good at and the areas in which you need improvement. It can be really depressing to simply list all of the things you're bad at. So try making two lists. On the first, write down all of the things that you do well at: include skills, personality traits, talents, etc. On the second, write down things that you need to work on. Anything at all that you'd like to learn or improve can be added to this list. Keep your list in a place that you will remember, and come back to it often. Update your list every year as you come up with new things you want to work on, and can move things from the second list to the first list. It will be very encouraging for you to get to see your improvements written down on paper, and will help you to keep working towards your goals.
Finally, remember that everyone has failings. For the most part, if you speak to someone who you think is good at everything, they will be able to tell you many things that they want to work on. There will always be something that you can do to improve yourself. So keep trying, and you'll be able to see your progress.
