A Positive attitude can increase motivation

Is attitude everything? You bet it is. While it's difficult to always see the silver lining and to maintain a positive attitude all the time, being optimistic has been linked to better health, stronger relationships and bigger successes in life. Doctors will tell you that patients who are optimistic about treatment will recover faster than those who don't. Employers can show you that a positive employee is more motivated to reach their goals along with the goals of the company. Although it can seem like a challenge to always pick the sunny, cheerful attitude, here are some tips to help you change your day.
Wake up on the right side of the bed: Your day starts with you rolling out of bed. If you want to start off refreshed and ready to go, get enough sleep at night and wake up to a calm environment. Lay out the clothes you want to wear tomorrow, pack lunches at night and look through your schedule for tomorrow so you know what to expect for your day. This process will put you at ease in the morning and possibly help it not be so hectic to get out the door and into the busy world tomorrow.

Say hi to your neighbors: It's not old fashioned; it's just being positive and sharing it with everyone around. you.
Offering a smile and a quick wave in the morning or evening when you see your neighbors is comforting and increases the positive energy around you.
Give yourself enough time: If you're rushed in the morning, or feel stressed about getting to a certain destination on time, it can fluster you and disconnect you from that positive attitude. Give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to go during the day. You'll feel more motivated by having enough time to accomplish the tasks you've set out to meet each day.
Eat: Of course we already know how important eating breakfast is for your brain to work properly during the day, but many people who are not motivated and feel overwhelmed by their daily tasks are also the same people that don't eat lunch, don't take time to exercise during the week and are working more than 40 hours each week on the job. Not taking care of yourself can turn even the most simple of tasks into overwhelming and stressful challenges.
Take time to eat healthy meals and snacks and keep your energy high with a brisk walk around the block.
Meet up with friends: A big piece of your ability to stay positive has to do with your personal relationships. Take time to see your friends and family and spend some quality time with them. Their influence on you can be calming and helpful when it comes to staying focused on the big picture in your life.
The media influence: We all need to stay informed on current events, but watching or reading too much news coverage can be harmful to your positive outlook. Unfortunately news is typically filled with tragic, depressing events because that's where the most dramatic information is available to the press. When all you see is the worst of mankind, it's hard to see the good that's also happening every day in the world. Limiting the negative influence of media stories will help you maintain a positive focus.
It's ok to pretend sometimes: You are going to have days where you feel down, discouraged and negative. But one trick to staying positive is to pretend you're happy, even when you don't feel like it. You'll find that you can lift your spirits and those around you just by faking your attitude. Eventually, this pretend positivity will just be a natural part of your character and you'll see less down time.
Just changing minor pieces in your attitude can have an effect on your overall day and life. When you feel positive, you'll be more motivated and this leads to a more successful and fulfilling life.
