Some of these benefits can just strengthen or help a friendship during a short amount of time, and other benefits are able to help impact friendships for a lifetime! Here are some of the benefits of motivation:

1) Trust - When two friends are equally motivated to having their friendship work and grow, there begins to be a high level of trust which develops. Of course, there generally is some level of trust which develops at the beginning of friendships, but this amount of trust can increase over time as a product of motivation. When a person is motivated, they often are willing to go "out on a limb" to make a relationship or friendship work. When people see other people putting forth a lot of effort to keep their friendship going, they develop a trust and reliance for the people putting forth the effort. This increased amount of trust also has other great benefits, such as having a truthful friendship. When we trust people, we confide in them and want to tell them the truth. In turn, this truthfulness can continually foster more trust and motivation!

2) Sincerity - When you are motivated to have a strong and healthy friendship, you will want to be as open and sincere with your friends as possible. This desire for openness and closeness with your friends is a part of motivation, and it will be a great asset to all of the friendships that you have! Your friends will sense your sincerity and in turn also be sincere and direct with you. This sincerity can help your friendship when there are difficult moments and situations. In addition, sincerity and openness can set a great foundation for a friendship which will stay strong for a long time!

3) Long-term/life-long friendship - Another great benefit of motivation in friendships is a greater possibility of long-term or life-time friendships. When you are motivated to have a strong friendship, you will want to constantly be in touch and contact with your friend, even if you move apart from each other.
