Meeting new people will open up a whole new world that you didn't know was there. Knowing a variety of people will help you to learn more about socializing and learning new things about yourself.

You may meet someone who loves to skydive and goes 2-3 times a week. You may find yourself wanting to go with them and try it. Once you try skydiving, you may have just found yourself a new hobby and something new to motivate you to trying new things.
