How to overcome stress and stay motivated to accomplish your goals? When you are stressed, it is easier to lose the motivation that keeps you going. Motivation is something that differs with each person. There are some of us that benefit and work better with external motivators, and there are others of us that require internal motivators.

Stress no only affects our motivation levels, but it also affects our immune system and other health functions. Therefore, if you have issues with stress, you could be damaging your health as well as your motivation for success.

How to get motivated to live a more stress free life

Stress is bad for your life, it is bad for your health, your attitude, etc. The following are some tips for how to get motivated to live a more stress free life:

 Watch the effects of stress in others. If you can see the way that stress effects other people's lives negatively, it should motivate you to live a more stress free life. Have you ever seen a mother of two that is pulling her hair out and not handling life very well? What about the mother of ten who looks great, has a clean house, and well behaved children? When you let yourself get stressed out, it does not matter the circumstances, how easy, or how hard, your life becomes more difficult. Stress takes a toll on how you function, how you behave, interact, look, feel, etc. So, look at others. Recognize that circumstances do not control stress, you do! Recognize the drawbacks and negative side effects that allowing stress to over take you has on your life. Then let that act as a motivator for you to live less stressed.

Getting motivated to knock off the procrastination


Procrastination is the disease the effects millions, and while never killing anyone, sure can make your life harder. So, how do you get motivated to knock off the procrastination? Try some of the following tips:

1. Spend one week without procrastinating. It is amazing to see how useful you can be, and if you spend just one week without procrastination you will be hard pressed to start doing it again. Why? Because when you do not procrastinate things, but do them right away your life becomes so much easier. You find you have more free time, more time to relax, and less worry, stress, and tasks hanging over your head and making you feel bad when you are trying to relax. Not procrastinating feels great, and yet we all find that procrastination is easier. Easier at first, anyway. So, if you want to get motivated to knock off the procrastination, do a trial period of no procrastination and see how good you feel about yourself, your accomplishments, your life, and most importantly about not procrastinating. It is like a second chance, a life to start anew without being behind, without the stress and worry of tasks put off to another day when they could have been done today.

How to be more successful

Well, this is certainly a broad topic, and we'll try to treat it both broadly and specifically. As you've no doubt heard, successful athletes, artists, businessmen, politicians, cooks, stay at home moms, stay at home dads, musicians, weight lifters, dog trainers, doctors, scientists, inventors, soldiers, generals, religious leaders, poets, novelists, scholars, comic book artist, gardeners, movie stars, antique dealers, and so forth, usually have something in common, something that they all share that had a great deal to do with their success. Let's look at a few examples.
1. Most successful people, on the top rung to the bottom, are self-motivated. That is, their motivation comes from inside, it's a flame that they've stoked into a bonfire. They don't rely on self-help books, pop psychology, weepy daytime television, and so forth, to do what they do day in and out. Now-it's true that any of the above things could provide a spur for the initial motivation. But once you're motivated, you've got to keep going. Let me explain.

How to recognize the symptoms of stress

Life can be stressful. We all experience different things that can put a lot of pressure and burden on our lives. We experience stress when we are faced with a tough situation that we find hard to handle or sometimes almost impossible to take care of. Stress can be a good thing if we can handle it. For example, stress can push you to do what you need to do, such as study for an exam instead of going out with friends. But, when the stress gets too high and we are unable to cope with it, one's well being can be jeopardized. There are so many reasons why people stress. It can be caused by wedding plans, preparing for an exam, unrealistic expectation, family matters, the environment they're in, poor decisions, or negative attitude about things. So how do we tell that someone is experiencing stress?
Stress affects our mind, body and behavior in many different ways. The specific signs and symptoms can vary between persons. But most of these symptoms can affect a person's physical and mental health and also their relationships with others.

Ways to eliminate stress and thus be more productive

Stress is a word so many of people know. It's affecting so many lives in so many ways. It doesn't matter whether you run a business, work for a boss, or stay at home. There are so many aspects of life that can make our lives stressful and unproductive: such as a long day of work, going home to balance check books, and attend to children and show support to a spouse or other family members. So here are some ways to help you eliminate stress and be more productive with your life.

Have a hobby?
Is there something you love to do? If not, find a hobby. Whether it's hiking, gardening, or simply going for a walk, you need something that would take your mind off work and things that are stressing you out. Joining a group of people in your neighborhood that have the same hobby is a great idea also. You'll eliminate stress by making new friends and have great fun. It's good for your mind and body also. This will help reduce stress and increase your level of productivity.
