Getting a "summer ready" body

honeymoon.jpgOne of the best things you can do to get yourself motivated to get a summer ready, thin and attractive body is to take the first simple steps. If you feel like you have too long of a way to go, you won't ever do the exercise, diet, etc. to get your body ready for summer. However, there are a few really easy ways to get your body looking better and get you on the road to a more attractive you.

Step one: Remove unsightly hair.

Summer means less clothing, and a general consensus is that the less hair on your body, besides on your head, the better. So, shave, wax, electrolysis, it is your choice, but lose the hair.

For guys, a hair free chest is the way to go. While we know it is manly to grow hair on your chest, when you are at the pool, the bathing beauties prefer to see sun bronzed skin. Consider setting up a date with a waxer, just be sure to exfoliate well after, and use a good body wash, or your hair free chest will be full of zits! Yuck!

For gals, a smooth bikini line is a must have when hitting the pool. Whatever your hair removal option of choice is, don't forget it before donning your suit!

Step two: Bronze skin.

Despite the warnings about skin cancer and the permanent damage UV rays can do to your skin, tan is in! But this summer, don't get your tan the natural way. Go for a fake tan. It is better for you, and does not take nearly as long.

Try a daily moisturizing lotion that has a self tanner in it, such as Jergens. You do not get the unsightly streaks, or the orange hue, and it takes only a few minutes a day to get the golden glow. Or, for a faster option, consider a spray on tan from a tanning salon. Again, you avoid the UV rays, but you get the sun kissed look.

Step three: Tone up.

Getting the perfect summer body can take months, but for a quick fix, try the following. Cut the junk food, and focus on healthy eating for at least a week. Drink lots of water. Do arm exercises. A tummy takes months to tone and legs several weeks, arms tone up faster than any other body part. So, get tank top worthy arms with some free weights, push ups, and 15 minutes a day for a couple of weeks!

Hopefully having a tan, a little less hair, and toned up arms will inspire you to eat right and lose some weight, exercise more and tighten up, and get overall better health, and become more attractive. It is often taking the first step in the direction you want to be in that motivates you to keep moving that direction. A tan can help you like your body better, and get you more excited to slim it down some, or make it more muscular. So, remember, take these easy steps to a better, more attractive summer physique.
