We all have subjects that we like and subjects we don't like. It's not very hard to get motivated to learn about subjects we like. We are already interested in them and want to learn more about it. But what about the subjects we don't like. How do we get motivated to learn something that holds no interest? And what about the workplace, you are so busy at work that you don't have time to learn more and educate yourself to do better at your job. How do you get motivated to learn? Use some of the examples and ideas below to help you get motivated to learn more and educate yourself.
If you are going to school and you have a subject that you don't have any interest in but you know you need to learn, you need to find the motivation to make it thru that class and learn as much as you can. Take what you are learning and try to imply it in your daily life. Doing this will remind you what you are learning is something that you can use every day. Use your history class for example. There is a saying that history always repeats itself. What you learn in a history class, can help you to see what could happen in the future and how you can prepare yourself. Learning about how America became a country can help you everyday to remind you who you are where your ancestors came from. Learning where your ancestors came from can also help you to learn who you are and help you to find out more about yourself and what you want to do with your life. You may learn that one of your ancestors helped a car company got up and running; you may find some interest in that and may want to follow in your ancestors footsteps.
Being in the workplace everyday can put a damper on wanting to take the time to learn new things. You may be busy with your projects and my feel overwhelmed to get them done. Your company has decided to bring in a new program that they want you to learn. You have a lot to do and feel like you don't have time to learn the new program. This is a lack of motivation. You have to motivate yourself to learn the new program. Learning the new program may help you to get your job done faster and will also show your employer that you are willing to learn more. The more you learn will show your employer that you are open for change and wanting to make yourself grow in the workplace. Keep yourself motivated by taking the time to learn and maybe asking for some help from your supervisor or another employee.
Having a job can be stressful and you may not have time to attend school or go back to school. Ask your employer if they will help you go back to school with either tuition reimbursement or a contract for a long term job if you get a degree in something you can use in that workplace. Going back to school and getting your education will help you to stay motivated in the workplace because you are learning more and educating yourself. If you do decide to go back to school while you are working, keep yourself motivated with positive feedback and remind yourself that you are become a better person.
