How a motivated partner can help you stay motivated
Being motivated can be difficult, to make it easier, you may want to try and find someone to stay motivated with. When you have a motivated partner, you are much more likely to get and stay motivated yourself. Let's just take a look at an example.
Let's say you made a goal at New Year's to work out every day. You did really well for a week or two, but then you had a late night, there was a big snow storm, and you got a cold. Suddenly your motivation to keep your goal and work out each day goes out the window. However, let's say at New Year's when you make this goal, you enlist a friend to work out with you. Each morning the two of you meet at the gym, a park, etc. You work out together, then part ways. Having this work out buddy means that despite a late night, bad weather, or being a little sick, you are going to make an effort to get up each morning and be at the gym, park, etc. Why? Well, the following are the reasons why, the how's of how a motivated partner can help you stay motivated:

1. Excitement is contagious: if your partner is excited about whatever it is you are trying to be motivated about, you will be too. You will want to get out there to work out, or whatever it is because someone else's excitement about it has rubbed off. Chances are you and your motivated partner will spend time talking about the activity or goal. You will talk about the desired results and how great they will be. This makes excitement spread. So, you will get motivated because they are, and you will stay motivated because their excitement will be contagious.
2. Dreary doing things alone: if you are having a hard time being motivated about your goals, and you get a motivated partner, you will be more motivated for the simple fact that you are not in it alone. You will have someone to share your successes with, and your failures. With the above example, working out, it can be hard to work out by yourself, especially if it is not something you particularly enjoy doing. It can be dreary, the time may crawl by, and you might be dreading every day of it. However, if you find a friend, or partner to work out with, you have something to look forward to. Instead of it being a chore, it becomes a time for socializing and good conversation, and getting fit. So, having a partner can make all the difference when it comes to being motivated because it can mean being excited about doing something because of the chance you have to enjoy someone's company.
3. Don't want to let someone else down: last, but certainly not least, one of the best reasons having a motivated partner helps you to stay motivated is because it makes you accountable. It is easy to let yourself down, not follow through with something you tell yourself you will do, but when you tell someone else you will do something, and you don't.then it is worse. Why? I am not sure. However, truth is truth, and you are less likely to let your goals slide if you are responsible to someone else for them, not just yourself. So, like the working out, if someone expects you to be there, you are much more likely to go then if they don't.
So, as you can see, a motivated partner can help you stay motivated. So, whether it is cleaning, working out, school work, etc. getting a partner will really help you to stay motivated.
