How being motivated improves the quality of your life

Motivation in life is not just great because you get things done, but it can actually improve the quality of your life. How? Take a look at some of the following examples:

1. Motivation in your job: If you are motivated at work a number of things happen. You are more productive with your time; you only have to be asked once; you get things done better and faster; you become a better employee. So, this in turn leads to notice from your boss and upper level management in your company; which in turn means more responsibility, which leads to higher pay, promotions, and a better, more enjoyable work environment because you have more respect. So, your motivation in your job leads to an improved quality of life because you now have a higher income and you enjoy your work more as more people respect you, and you have purpose and direction.

2. Motivation in your diet: If you are motivated to stick with your diet, or just to improve what you consume, limit sugar and refined foods, increase the amounts of fruits and veggies you eat, etc. you will find that you look better. You will fit in your clothes better, lose weight, find energy, and have the ability to do things you couldn't before, like exercise for long periods of time, etc. This of course can lead to any number of things, it can mean you get more positive attention for your appearance, you date more, your spouse finds you more attractive, or your own self confidence rises. How could that not be an improved quality of life? You look better, feel better, have more energy, and you like yourself more and others like you more.
3. Motivation in your home life: Motivation in your home life means getting motivated to keep things clean, getting motivated to spend quality time with your family, improve relationships, and do the little things that matter at home. If you get motivated to do these things, your home life will be improved, but also, you will have a higher quality of life because you will live in a cleaner and therefore better environment. Your relationships will be stronger, and you will be happier. You will have activities that are fun and planned, you will do things you enjoy, and you will not spend as much money because you will want to be at home more often.
4. Motivation in your parenting: If you get motivated to be a better parent a whole chain of events will occur. Your children will grow to love and respect you more. Your relationship with them will improve. They will feel more secure and loved, which leads to a higher level of self worth, which leads to higher self confidence, which goes a long way in protecting them from falling into many of the normal teen problems like drugs, sex, and alcohol. However, more than that, you will be able to be proud of yourself, and your choices as a parent, you will not be living with regrets, or blaming yourself when and if your child makes a poor choice. So, getting motivated to be a better parent improves the quality of your life because you have less stress, which leads to better health. You have better stronger relationships, which means more trust, and less worry about what your teenage boy is doing late at night on a weekend, and you can be proud of yourself.
Motivation is like a prescription for improved quality of life. So, if you want the quality of your life to improve, take a few shots of extra motivation in every area of your life daily.
