How being motivated makes you happier

What keeps you motivated and happy in your life? For most, being motivated is the key to happiness; For example, in my life motivation is the key to a lot of my happiness. Without it I wouldn't have accomplished the things in my life that I have. Without motivation you may not accomplish much, and even small accomplishments can make you happy. To some my accomplishments may not be the biggest achievements but they are sufficed to me, which in turn makes me happy. And who wants to be depressed? I know I don't.

Being motivated at work means higher income, at home means happier family, at diet and health means more energy and a better life. Recently one of my proudest achievements was setting up a healthy eating and exercising calendar for my family and me. It has improved our lives on so many levels and we are all so much happier and more energetic as well. It's helped my son to actually improve in school. Now how much more of a reason would you need to be motivated for something like that? Being motivated in not always simple. In fact, in the beginning it wasn't the easiest thing to get my family into-especially my son. But with persistence and of course motivation I persuaded him to the healthy side.

If you get motivated to accomplish whatever it is you are working towards, you will do it faster, with less energy, and you will have more time to do the things you enjoy. What I love hearing and laughing at is people telling me they want to change something but they don't have the time, which is not true. It is not time they lack, what they don't have is the motivation. So, next time you find yourself making the excuse of having not time, stop yourself, and say, I do not have the right motivation. You will realize this is rather sad. When you hear others just complain and complain and you try to help them but they just don't want it bad enough to do it, it is irritating, so don't do that yourself. I admit it does take a lot of discipline along with the motivation, but the pay off is so great.

If you get motivated, and then exercise discipline and stay motivated you will be much happier. Like when you want to save money, say for that dream vacation or something like that. When you finally get to book it, or buy it or pay that bill off, etc. you are just gleaming. You will have a mile smile for days, because accomplishments, no matter how small are rewarding.

Motivation and success go hand in hand, and success makes you happy. You really can't have one without the other, and that is why motivation is so key to a happy life. Because if you put your all into something even if it doesn't quite turn out the way you'd hoped it would you are still happy for staying motivated and on track enough to finish what you started. That in itself makes you happy, and will make you ready and willing to go on to the next project or adventure.

Motivation also helps with self confidence. You can't feel poorly about yourself if you accomplish things in your life, or have a productive day. When you do the things you have set out to do, no matter how small, you get a sense of pride, which carries over into all of the areas of your life and how you conduct yourself. I like the feeling I get when I'm done with my project, especially when people don't have much faith in you. It make take me longer than I thought, but being able to look at what I've finished and tell people that I finished it is amazing.

So here are 5 reasons for motivation and how it makes you happy:
1. No project goes unfinished
2. Bragging/boasting rights
3. Ability to look back and remember what you've accomplished and where it's gotten you
4. The self confidence that comes with motivation and success
5. HAPPINESS and fulfillment
So lets all try and stay motivated. You'll see what really makes you happy
