How knowing success comes from small simple steps, helps keep you motivated. The thing about small steps is that they are easy to take. That means more feelings of accomplishment. Therefore, the more feelings of accomplishment you have, the better chance is you will feel motivated. With this in mind you will see that knowing that the small simple steps you take really will help to get your motivated.

Ok, I know what you are thinking. How can you feel good about the little steps? They do seem rather insignificant. You know what though, as humans we sweat the small stuff, we fight over the small issues, and we do praise our children when they are taking those small steps.

If we can pay that much attention to the small things in our lives, it really is rather simple and very understandable that we can feel pride and happiness in our accomplishments regardless of how small, and simple they appear to be.

We have to face the fact that some things are easier for some than others. Some of us are motivated easily and others of us take a little more push. Being motivated takes something that sparks our interest. There needs to be some reason that a person is motivated to do something.

Rather it is external motivators or internal motivators. There is something that increases our interest in doing the activity, job or project we need to do.

For example: When you go to work, you are motivated by a couple different things; money, interest, interaction with others, or goals. There can be many things that motivate us to go to work. However, even if you are motivated to go to work, there is still days that it takes baby steps to get yourself out the door and to the office. This is the same for most everyone with any activity that can be boring, uninteresting, or repetitive, like a job.


So those baby steps, the simple ones like a hot shower in the morning, or a cup of coffee and the morning paper, make it easier to feel motivated to get up, get going and get to work.

If you find that you are faced with a challenge like losing weight, those of us that know what it is like to want to lose 10, 20, ok 30 pounds, we know it is hard to get motivated.
Well how do people do it then? It is hard to get that first few pounds off and keep it off. This is because we are in certain habits that keep us at the weight levels we are used to. The thing that needs to be considered is that each and every small step to eat better, exercise more and eating less is a step in the right direction. Each one of these steps leads to weight loss, and in turn leads to feeling more motivated.

No one stood up one day after years of sitting around and said I am going to run a marathon today, and found it easy when they tried. If they made it, then it would be likely that they over exerted themselves, however it is more likely that they did not make it at all.

If you want to meet the goals in your life that will surely take motivation, then arm your self with the skill and the tools to win. Knowing that small simple steps are what help get you motivated does this.
