How to get motivated to learn new things
The following are some tips for how to get motivated to learn new things:
1. Look at your salary. If you are not making as much as you would like to, then get motivated to learn something new. You can look into the reasons that getting motivated to learn new things will benefit you. You may find that a little extra knowledge under your belt can increase your ability to earn an income for your family. This is often the right kind of motivation, and the only kind of motivation that you need to learn new things. If you see that dollars are going to change, that will change how you feel about learning. Even people with learning disabilities can use their lacking salary as a motivator for learning new things.

2. Do a little bit of reading. Sometimes you can get really motivated to learn new things by just tasting a little bit of knowledge, it can leave you hungry for more. Ever had anything spark your interest that you did not follow up on? Well, it is time to follow up. Go to your local library, go online to Amazon, go wherever you need to in order to get the information you need, just start learning and you will be able to get motivated to learn.
3. Join a book club. If you want motivation to learn new things, sometimes it is easier to have other supporters. If you were to try and quit being an alcoholic, you would join AA, and have supporters to help you on the way. Why not get the same support when you try to learn new things? Join a book club. A book club will help you to get motivated to read a book you might not have read otherwise. So, get some support, learn new things with the help of others.
4. Take an interesting class first. If you want to learn new things, you have to start by learning something you want to learn about first. So, choose something from a community college that interests you some, and take a class that only lasts a few days. Warm up, do not jump in to the deep end when you are only ready for shallows. Take a class on digital photography, dance, or maybe even short story writing. When you finish that and feel accomplished, move on to something a little more difficult for you. Maybe take a class that takes longer. Take it slow, start with what interests you initially, and go from there. You will find that often times this will encourage you to dive in head first the next time, take a whole class load, take harder classes, various topics, and pretty soon you will not be able to contain your excitement for learning new things. The new things you learn do not have to be in a school setting. Ask a friend who has a skill you do not to teach you, ask if you can apprentice them for a time. It is not hard, but start slow, and work your way into doing more.
5. Find something that interests you already, and learn more. If you already love fish, and have an aquarium, a great way to get motivated to learn more would be to check out some books on the evolution of fish, or their life cycle, etc. Then build from there. This does not have to just be fish. Find something you like, and expound on your current levels of knowledge.
