How to get motivated to live a more stress free life
Stress is bad for your life, it is bad for your health, your attitude, etc. The following are some tips for how to get motivated to live a more stress free life:
Watch the effects of stress in others. If you can see the way that stress effects other people's lives negatively, it should motivate you to live a more stress free life. Have you ever seen a mother of two that is pulling her hair out and not handling life very well? What about the mother of ten who looks great, has a clean house, and well behaved children? When you let yourself get stressed out, it does not matter the circumstances, how easy, or how hard, your life becomes more difficult. Stress takes a toll on how you function, how you behave, interact, look, feel, etc. So, look at others. Recognize that circumstances do not control stress, you do! Recognize the drawbacks and negative side effects that allowing stress to over take you has on your life. Then let that act as a motivator for you to live less stressed.
Try living without stress for a day or two, how does it feel? Often times people do not have any motivation to live a more stress free life because they think that the levels of stress they are experiencing are normal, and just a part of living. Well, this is not true. It is possible to live life without being stressed out, however it is a choice. You will love the freedom, energy, and love of life that you feel, and you will never want it to go away. This will motivate you to live a less stressed life.
Enjoy life more. The sheer fact that leading a more stress free life means enjoying life more should be your motivator for living less stressed. However, many people do not recognize that life is meant to be enjoyed. They get too caught up in the here and now, the tasks that need doing, the rooms that need cleaning, the mouths that need feeding, and work that is waiting. You can motivate yourself by spending a few minutes just enjoying life, and seeing how when you let go of your stress and take a step towards enjoyment of live, not just living life, that you will be happier, healthier, and able to accomplish more.
