How to get out of failure mode
Failure mode is something that is easy to slip into. We all tend to self defeat and talk ourselves out of the ability to succeed. So, what can you do to get out of failure mode and more importantly, get into success mode? Try the following:
Recognize that failure is not always the result. In fact, many succeed. If people did not succeed then we would not have cars, government, food, technology etc. All of these things come as a result of people's dreams and goals. People are more than capable of creating compelling dreams. It is fact. The problem is that the fear of failure often clouds the path, and leads you astray. So, what you are going to do is use that wonderful imagination of yours. Imagine that it is impossible to fail. If it was impossible to fail what dreams and desires would you pursue? If you were guaranteed success then what would you try to do? When you start thinking in the possibilities, you start to get your mind out of failure mode.

Ok, so you have your thoughts out of failure mode, now it is time to think ahead. Now, think about how if you follow these impulses, you can imagine living your ideal life in five years. You are going to put a picture in your head about the future life you could have if you were not in failure mode. Let this picture of the future motivate you to set goals and get motivated to achieve them.
When you want to get out of failure mode, it is time to make some specific plans for your future. You can't just say you want more from your life, you need to say, "I want more education." "I want to make more money." Etc. If you want to have real change, you have to be specific about what you want. The more specific it is, the better chance you have of getting your goal.
The next thing you need to do to get out of failure mode is to take your specific idea, and act on by writing it down. The act of writing down a goal will help bring it closer to reality. It makes the goal tangible, not just a mere thought. In failure mode you talk the talk, but you never do anything else. So, do not just say you want to do something, get a sheet of paper, and on the top write: Goals. Then write your goal under it. It brings it to life.
If you are serious about getting out of failure mode, it is time to take those small steps forward that will get you to the changes that are going to lead to success. So, take small steps. Your dreams may be big, but it takes small steps to get to them. Set your small steps and do them each and every day so that you can eventually get to your goal. A mile seems really far, but a foot does not, so take a foot at a time until you hit the mile mark.
So, start thinking positive thoughts. Do not let yourself get you down. If you start thinking in failure mode, you will likely fail. So, make a goal, write it down, dream big, and take the little steps to get there. It is up to you whether or not you are going to be in failure mode.
