How to stay motivated to work hard THEN play hard
Of course as we start out days we look forward to playing and hope to get through with the work as fast as possible. We wouldn't know the fun associated with playing if we did not also know about the hard work and dedication of working. It is our jobs that provide us with the means by which we can play. If we did not work, then there would no money and no money means no resources available for play. It is hard to have fun if you cannot provide for your own most basic needs. Work is a necessary evil that we should learn how to make the most of.
Stay motivated to work hard - The best way to stay motivated to do something is to learn how to enjoy that thing. Thinking of work as something enjoyable may be difficult for some but it is not impossible. Working provides us with the things that we need and want in life. At work we have friends and people that we admire. Work helps us to develop our skills and become more self sufficient. With a good attitude and some determination you can find yourself at a job that is just as enjoyable as `play.'

Early to bed, early to rise - Make the early morning hours something to look forward to. Getting up early has a negative connotation but it really could be the best part of your day. Many people who enjoy getting up early like doing so because they have something that they look forward to doing planned for that morning. Many people play sports, go bike ridding or meet friends for breakfast. If you have to reason to get up early than why do it right?! Save some of your hobbies for the morning hours. When you are able to start the day by doing something that you like, the rest of the day seems to go by smoother. Another good suggestion to getting your work done earlier is to find ways to do your late night chores earlier in the day. People have a hard time getting motivated to wake up earlier if they see no reason to. So, make yourself some reasons to get out of bed! Obviously if you are going to bed earlier than you used to than you might have some important things that you were unable to finish the night before. When you know you have to get something done you are more motivated to get to it.
Don't worry, be happy - Have you ever skirted your responsibilities to go out and have fun with friends only to have the evening spoiled because you are worried about not having gotten your work done? Getting our work done before we play actually makes the time we spend playing more enjoyable. Another example would be a father working long hours all through the week and then rewarding himself by spending Saturday at the zoo with his children. The father has the satisfaction of knowing that he has put in a good week of work and can now feel free to reap the benefits.
Hard work is its own reward - If you have ever been low on money you know how much relief can come when hard work yields financial rewards. Hard work can be its own motivation when we receive praise for a job well done, a promotion, or a raise. There are many times when a job, such as housework for example, can be both work and play. With some creativity and positive thinking you can make whatever you are doing a time to play. It all depends on your attitude.
