How to stick with it, even when it is difficult

A lot of people make goals, plans, or resolutions every day. People want to be better, they want to succeed, they want to try new things, and the list goes on and on. While it is great that people want to do things, it is even better when they actually do them instead of just wanting to do them. But sometimes goals are hard to stick with. Write them down, break them down
Writing down goals can help a person more easily review their goals when it starts to get difficult. Also, when goals are written down they have more substance than just a thought or a dream, and they are more likely to become a reality. A person should write down their goal, and put it in a place where they will read it or at least see it, every day. They will constantly be reminded of this goal and feel more pressure to do it, even when it is difficult.
Long-term goals should also be broken down into short-term goals that will better help a person stick with the goals. When each short-term goal is reached, the person will have more energy and stamina to carry on to the next and the next short-term goal until they have reached their main goal.
Review your goals
Another way that a person can stick with it, even when it is difficult, is for them to review there goals. It is easy for a person to get off track, especially if they are working on a long-term goal. A person may even forget what they were actually doing in the first place if they do not take time to review their goals. When a person takes time each day or each week to review their goals, they will better be able to stay on track, even when it gets difficult.
Tell someone
When a person is planning to work on or work toward something, they need to tell someone, everyone, they know. When other people know about it, a person is less likely to give up; no matter how hard it gets. They know that other people, and not just themselves, are counting on them to do what they said they would do. Feeling this pressure is a good thing and it can help people to go on during the toughest of times.
The reason behind it all
Everyone has a reason for making a goal, and when it gets difficult to stick with their plan, a person may want to quit if they forget why they made the goal/plan in the first place. When it starts to get tough, a person should remember why they are doing what they are doing. This will help them to stick with it. A person can more easily go on if they know that the cause is worth it; no matter how difficult it may seem.
Believe in yourself
It is important for a person to believe in themselves. This is perhaps one of the most important things that can help a person stick with it, even when it is difficult. A person needs to know they are worth it. They are worth all of the hard work. A person needs to know that they can do it and that they are strong enough to make it through.
