Making yourself more interesting, ways to get motivated
Self-motivation is the way you get yourself up and moving as well as the way you keep on moving forward regardless of obstacles or challenges that you may face in your life to attain that ultimate goal you have set for yourself. Before you can motivate yourself, you probably need to know what drives you. If you feel that you are not as productive as you would like or tend to always procrastinate, you should try to be motivated to change your personal life style. You must find interesting and easier ways to achieve the goals that you are trying to put off.
One way to make your goal seem achievable and less discouraging is to divide it into smaller goals and into several steps over a few days or a few weeks. If your goal is to clean your entire house, you may see it as time consuming and boring. But if you break it into smaller tasks to make them seem more manageable, this can actually helps you be motivated. Start with the master bedroom on your first day of cleaning, then the children's bedrooms the following day, the kitchen and the living room next and the bathrooms at the end of the week, you may actually find the idea of cleaning your entire home less difficult. You may as well be surprised to see that you were able to complete your house cleaning task in considerably less time.

Some other ideas to make those undesirable jobs seem more tolerable and manageable are to prioritize them. Use self-discipline and always reward yourself for your accomplishments. Rewards and incentives are the main key factor to help you stay motivated until the completion of your project. You could also try to do the least desirable job early in the day so you'll look forward to having the rest of the day to yourself or to spend on more pleasant tasks. Keep in mind to stick to your plans and always reward yourself for each step you take in overcoming procrastination.
Try not to worry about doing the job perfectly. Having a positive attitude will help you stop your procrastination and build up your motivation to finish your job. If you allow yourself enough time to finish a task you may have more time and motivation for adjustment later. Avoid taking a big job when your energy on a particular day is low. This is difficult to get motivated when you simply don't have the desire. Remember to reward yourself at the end of each of your least favorite jobs. Having something to look forward to is always a wonderful motivator. Make your task manageable and efficient and you will be happy to see an improvement in your time management and motivational skills.
Set for yourself clear and attainable goals. Prioritize each of your goals to fit your situation and your state of mind. Stay organized to avoid being overwhelmed with your goals. Pick the ones that you can finish quickly first so you have something to cross off your list when it's done. Seeing your list of tasks going down is certainly a great motivator to continue on that path until you have crossed off each one of your goals from your list. Being able to eliminate especially the most difficult task will only leave you feeling wonderful about your work and motivate you to continue. Stay focused on the end result instead of spending all your energy and thoughts on how hard it is to break your old habits and to finish what you have started. Seeing your goals being fulfilled one by one will make your efforts seem worthwhile and the reward waiting for you will keep you motivated to stay on course until you complete all your goals.
Stop making excuses and start taking control of your life. Get motivated! Procrastination is not good and can even be harmful to your well being if allowed to get out of control.
