Mind tricks:

First,


Think of the reason why you need to be motivated. Thinking of the dull task doesn't make it any more appealing, so try to think of the reason that you need to be motivated.
This should make become more motivated and if it doesn't than maybe it isn't something you should be trying to accomplish if you don't have to.

Second,

If you are still having problems getting started than try working for a five minute period at a time then if you need to try it a few times that's fine just tell you fill confident enough to get started. This can help you see that it isn't as hard as you thought it could be.

Third,

Move around and jump, dance, listen to music, get energy and this will give you motivation like you were going to do something that you loved. It might seem silly or crude but this faking it really works. Give it a try and if you need to try it a few times.

Forth,

Try to look at your project one step at a time it is sometimes too hard to look at the whole project. If you are looking at the whole project just look at a chunk at a time because if not it can lead to procrastination and that isn't what anyone wants that is trying to finish something they want.

Fifth,

If something is keeping you from wanting to work than find out what could be the problem. The problem could be from not enough sleep, also from being hungry, or bored if any of these seem like they could be the problem than try to find ways to solve it like sleeping or eating or listening to music, what ever you need.

Sixth,

Make yourself confident by either forgetting your fears or by telling your self that you can do this and can do anything that you put your mind to.

Seventh,

Find a partner to help you stay motivated. This way when you are filling lazy they can put you back on track again. Friends help you whenever you need help staying motivated.

Eighth,

Plan your days before they happen by setting goals for the next day like how much you want to accomplish and how early you want to get started. It usually helps people to get an early start to help you carry out your day.

Ninth,

Try to read books about what your project to help you get more ideas on how to start and finish your project so that you have a better idea on what you are trying to accomplish. This will make your mind think that it is easy to do.

Tenth,

Find things that could make you less motivated like if your car is always braking down then try not to use your car or if your computer is slow try to finish your project without it so that you can stay motivated.

Eleventh,

Try to stay away from getting frustrated by little problems just find a quick solution and don't let them get to you because this will make you not fill motivated anymore.

Twelfth,

Success can lead to success if you have just won something you will have so much motivation because you have succeeded at something and that makes you want to succeed at more things and it builds motivation.
