Releasing negativity, how it can make you a better person

Negativity can really make you a bad person. If you focus on bad things, and let negativity eat at you, then you will never have energy to put toward better things, things like improving yourself. The following is a look at how you can release negativity, and how by learning to do so, you can be a better person:
First, you have to let go of the need to hang on to negativity.

As soon as you're tired of being negative, and you are ready to change things, you will. However, you have to be ready to let go of the hate, guilt, fear, or whatever it is that you are hanging on to.
Second, recognize the poor side effects of negativity.
Negative feelings like stress, anger, and fear can cause your body to start reacting negatively. If you let yourself feel badly, and if you hang on to negativity, then you could have medical disorders. If you want to unburden your body, then let go of the negative feelings that are causing the burden.
Third, recognize that releasing negativity is usually a process.
Negativity accumulates in our lives over time, and while it would be nice to decide one day that you want to let it go, and just let it, this is not realistic. You have to let negativity release in layers. Each time you attempt to release negativity you need to do your best to drain as much of it from yourself as possible.
Fourth, visualize releasing negativity from your life.
Visualization is a great way to improve the ability you have to release negativity. This installs positive expectations into your thoughts. Positive thoughts lead to positive actions, positive actions allow you to succeed. If you want to release negativity from your life, then visualize yourself getting rid of all those old stored feelings of anger, fear, abandonment, embarrassment, and so on, that have been accumulating inside of you all of your life.
The kind of negativity you want to release include: fear, anger, rage, abandonment, rejection, guilt, shame, worry, blame, numbness, hurt, hatred, jealousy, and disgust.
Fifth, once you release your negativity, you can now use your energy to become a better person.
Just like it takes a physical space to store physical items, it takes an emotional energy to store negative emotions. So, let go of those negative emotions, and you get to free up all of the time and energy you spend on them and allow yourself to improve with it.
