Being motivated in life can be difficult, the bills pile up, the late nights start to wear on you, and you find that you are struggling to keep on top of things you HAVE to do, let alone be motivated to do anything to improve yourself. So, what are some simple things you can do each day, or regularly to get more motivated? Try some of the following:
1. Buy motivational CD's: There are a number of products on the market that have been put together for your use in getting more motivated. One of these products are recordings of motivational speakers, and their programs. So, if you want to get more motivated, get one of these sets of motivational CD's, keep it in your car, near your exercise equipment, or wherever you need it to be in order to listen to it daily. 2. Listen to a motivation speaker: well the above idea for getting more motivated is to purchase a CD of a motivational speaker talking, so why not just go and listen to their actual speech as well? Being in person, seeing their visual aids, and listening to this professional motivator is a great way to get more motivated to accomplish your goals. Go online and look for a motivational speaker who will be speaking in your area, or in an area you would be willing to visit, and go listen to their presentation. This will get you all fired up to be more motivated; if you are worried about staying motivated, most motivational speakers offer a line of motivational aides, including motivational CD's, so listen, then stock up on what else they have to offer so that you stay motivated as well.
3. Put sticky note reminders of your goals up: A great way to get more motivated to do things you want to do is to remind yourself that you want to do them. We often get distracted by friends, the phone, being tired, the television, etc. so make some sticky note reminders for yourself and post them where you will see them, and where they will most aid you in being more motivated. For example, if you are trying to stay motivated to stick to your diet, a stick note reminder on the refrigerator door is a good idea. You will see it right before you open the fridge, and hopefully it will motivate you to choose healthier, better for you options.
4. Have friends and family support and encourage you to be more motivated: another idea for getting more motivated is setting up a support staff. Get your friends and family to remind you and encourage you to stick with it, be motivated, etc. If those around you know that you are trying to get more motivated they will be able to help you in this.
5. Set goals: it is hard to get more motivated if you do not have something to work toward. So, set some goals. This alone will help you be more motivated because you conceptualize and formulate a plan. Make sure that the goals you set are realistic and yet still challenging. Plan the steps to achieve the goals. Once you see that there is a logical progression to achieve your goals, you will mentally begin to be more motivated because you will not be overwhelmed by what you need to do.
