Sleep, a key ingredient to motivation
Getting the proper amount of sleep is very important if you want to get yourself motivated. The reason for this is that if do you deprive yourself of sleep you are not going to be feeling your best physically, especially if you deprive yourself of sleep on a regular basis. If you are not feeling your best physically then there is no chance you are going to be able to motivate yourself to get anything done because you are not going to feel like doing most things. In order to get motivated you need to have some energy to accomplish things, you cannot gain energy by not getting enough sleep.
If you are finding it hard to motivate yourself you should look at your sleeping patterns, many times your sleeping patterns will prove to be the cause of the lack of motivation. Here are some tips that you can follow to get enough sleep so that you can get yourself up, and motivated each day.

Tip one:
Get at least eight hours of sleep a night. Many people find this part hard to do, so your best bet is to try it for one week to see how it goes. What you need to do is go to bed early for one week and then get up about eight hours after you went to sleep. Most people find that getting eight hours of sleep makes them feel well rested so that they have energy the next day, and getting enough sleep makes you feel happier too.
Tip two:
Find out about the other benefits of getting enough sleep. Not only does getting enough sleep make you feel better, about yourself, there are also many health benefits to it. The reason for this is that as we sleep our bodies are able to rest and heal from what has gone on during the day. Sleep is also a way for our immune systems to strengthen themselves because it is not working on having to fight off foreign bodies while we sleep. Another huge health benefit is that getting enough sleep gives us energy to get things accomplished, without energy we would never be able to get motivated to get things done. We get energy from sleep because when you are healthier you use less energy to get things done, which means you have more energy top get a variety of things done.
Tip three:
One way to find out if you are getting enough sleep is to keep a journal of how you feel after you wake up each morning. In the journal, you are going to want to write down what time you went to bed, what time you got up, if you woke up in the middle of the night, and how you feel upon waking up. You will also want to write in the journal before you go to bed or during the day about how you felt during the day, were you happy, sad, or grumpy. Were you able to get things done during the day or did you have a hard time getting motivated. You want to keep track of your sleep habits for a period so that you can see the differences in yourself of when you get enough sleep and when you don't. You will most likely find that you are able to get motivated easier when you have gotten the proper amount of sleep.
Tip four:
You also want to compare how effective you are when you get eight hours of sleep to when you get less sleep. Pay attention to the different talks that you are doing and on how much sleep you got the night before. For example, are simple and easy tasks hard and frustrating for you to do because you are tired? You will see that the more sleep you get the better you will be able to focus, which makes you more effective in getting motivated.
