Tips for overcoming the obstacles that get in the way of your goals
There are a lot of things that can get in the way of your goals, some are distractions, and others are obstacles. So, what can you do to overcome the obstacles that get in the way of your goals, and how can you overcome them? The following are some tips for overcoming the obstacles that get in the way of your goals:
Tip one: The distraction obstacles. In general distractions are not all negative, but when you start to let them get in the way of your goals, you lose your ability for success. So, recognize that the closer you get to success, the more distractions will come up, and these have the potential to knock you off your course forever. So, what should you do? You need to keep the big picture in mind. It is ok to deal with a problem, or let yourself be distracted a little, but when you forget the purpose, then your distraction is an obstacle. So, ask yourself what is in it for you to overcome these obstacles and keep working forward. Knowing exactly why you are doing something will give you some push to do it. You will find that you have more energy and excitement to keep you going when there are setbacks and problems.

Tip two: Consider the consequences. If you want to overcome the obstacles that get in your way you have to think through consequences. Ask yourself what the worst thing that could happen is if you go for something difficult? You could fail. Right? Well, if you never try, then you have failed already? So, use this thought as a useful tool. Also, consider the consequences of giving up on a dream or goal because of an obstacle. Letting worry get in the way is stupid. However, you can let that worry motivate you to work hard. Instead of looking bad, you work hard so you won't. This can be a great motivator to help you work on obstacles instead of giving up when you meet them.
Tip three: One obstacle you are going to face I their own reservations about working toward their goals. So, take a few minutes to think about what's holding you back. Determine why you are not working toward and achieving your goals. So, once you determine this, use logic to dismiss it. Sometimes people use fear to rationalize giving up. Sometimes people talk themselves out of working toward their goals, so in other words they are their own obstacles. So, instead of quitting on your dreams, use sense, truth, and some confidence to stay working hard. If you know exactly what it is that is holding you back (and if you can get specific, not just a "feeling") then you can work on it and eliminate the problem.
Some of the other things you can do to overcome the obstacles that get in the way of your goals are as follows:
Put together a support team. If you have other people behind you help you work your way to your goals, you will be less likely to let small obstacles escalate and become large problems.
Think success. If you can get a success mindset, instead of a failure mindset, then when small set backs happen, instead of dropping the ball and walking off the court, you will see that part of the road to success is failure. You will probably fail a few times, run into a few problems, and then you will succeed.
