Tips for staying organized
If you have done the work, and committed the time to getting organized, you will certainly not want that to go to waste, so stay organized. The following are some tips for staying organized, whether it is your home, your life, or your job:
As you get things out, be sure to put them away. The problem with staying organized is that if you let things go too long it is easier to just throw things together in a box or basket, and just let things go, and forget about organization. So, once you determine where things should go, you should keep things in these places.

Take care of things right away. If you need to stay organized with paying your bills, then call each provider or service and find out what your billing cycle is and when you need to have your bill paid. Then fill out a calendar. Check this calendar every day, this is a great way to make sure you pay your bills on time. Or, as soon as your receive the paper bill, write out the check, address, stamp, etc. then just hold on to the bill until a few days before the due date. If you take care of it right away, there is much less chance of it getting lost in a mound of paper, and ruining your credit by being unpaid.
Dedicate time every month to staying organized. No matter how good you are at putting things away, you will want to spend some time reorganizing your home every single month. So, to stay organized, decide that the last Saturday of every month you are going to go through your cupboards and reorganize. Then decide to go through your closets, under beds, toy chests, etc. This will help you stay organized because you will have time set aside just for being organized. This is when you can review your budget, your work, your house, your closet, etc.
Whenever you talk on the phone, instead of just sitting still, or laying around, walk to a drawer and pull it out. Then while you have your conversation, you can work on organizing that drawer. Just spending those few minutes a day can really help you to stay organized.
Have proper containers and storage facilities. If you want to stay organized, one of the best things you can do is not just have a place for everything, but have a proper place for storing everything. So, get baskets, bins, crates, buckets, etc. And make sure you get labels for each of these things, or use clear plastic so that you can see through them and determine what it is that is in the storage container. If you have a specific slot or container for every item you have, then you are going to stay organized much better.
Make sure others know your organizational plan. If you organize your closet, but you share it with your husband, and you do not think to inform your husband about your organizational plan, or he does not listen, then how long do you think it will stay organized? If you change your kitchen around as you organize and you do not inform the others that it has been reorganized, then the next time someone besides you cleans out the dishwasher or sets the table for dinner, your organization goes out the window. So, part of staying organized is telling others, and showing others that use your home how to organize the way you want things.
Make a plan, a schedule, and have a way to track your life. Make lists, have an organizer, set a schedule. If you create a to do list everyday, your work and time will be organized, and even if you do not finish everything on your list, at least your priorities and next things to do are already organized.
