Bringing romance into the everyday in your marriage

You do not have to succumb to the hum drum of married life, you can keep that flare, spark, and romantic flame alive. The question is, "How can you bring romance into the everyday of your marriage."

The answer:
1. Start with when you wake up: Roll over and plant one right on your husband or wife's cheek. You probably won't want to kiss their mouth as you likely have morning breath. Give them a big hug, pull them close, and say, "I love you." This starts your morning off right, with a smile on your face, and a little romance in the air.

2. If you eat together, don't just slap the pancakes on a plate or the cereal in a bowl. Make it look nice, have some fresh squeezed orange juice, or a favorite food every now and then. Surprise your spouse with breakfast in bed. This is one of the best ways to add romance to your, surprises. Also, while you eat, talk, talk, talk.
3. Pinch his butt, kiss her neck, and add some passion to your goodbyes. You can fall into the, "well see ya, I am leaving for work now!" routine, or you could kiss them goodbye and wish them a great day with a little romance.
4. Make a specialty dinner, use candles, drink wine or non-alcoholic sparkling cider in goblets, and get a baby sitter for the kids. You do not have to go out or spend a fortune to make a regular old night romantic. It is amazing what champagne flukes, rose petals, and candles can do to the mood. So, every now and then, use these items.
5. Spice up your sex life. Use lingerie, role play, or simply try new things. For many married people, the romance seems to be gone because the excitement of love making is gone, it is a quickie here, and a "Are you too tired tonight?" there. Instead of having sex be boring, expected, or neglected, make it fun. Talk about your fantasies, use massage oil, light some candles, or turn on some music. Just make it different, and it will feel more romantic.
6. Surprise your spouse with a special romantic getaway. This does not have to be huge. In fact, sometimes just getting a nice room at the motel down the street, and having some chocolates and beverages put in the room can make for a romantic night, and can often cost less than $50. Or you could go all out and take your spouse on a dream vacation.
7. Bring her flowers. Flowers for no reason at all are a great way to bring romance into the everyday of your marriage. She probably knows she will get them for anniversaries, V-day, etc. but what about Monday?
8. Write a love note and leave it on the bathroom mirror. After your sweetheart goes to bed, grab a sticky-pad and write something you love about them on it, and stick it on the bathroom mirror where they are sure to see it the next morning.
9. Surprise your spouse at work with lunch, a visit, or maybe just a love email. Anything to remind them you love them and can't wait to see them.
10. Just touch more, think about the other person more, and do the little things. This is the best way to bring romance into the everyday.
Bringing romance into the everyday in your marriage does not have to be difficult or expensive. Yes, you could buy her diamonds, and expensive dinners, or you could write her a list of things you love about her, send flowers to her office, or surprise her with breakfast in bed.
