Date ideas

Dating does not have to be limited to seeing a movie and grabbing some dinner at a restaurant. However, too many people can't get creative when they date. The following are some date ideas to help you add a little more interest to your date life (married or single):
- Visit the zoo: you don't have to be a kid to enjoy seeing the animals. And, if you go at the right time you could see a bird show or a seal show or something awesome like that.

- See an aquarium: fish and aquatic animals can offer hours of interest and fun. Watch the Seahorses swim around, look for "Nemo" or watch the sting rays float.
- Go to a play: city centers often have plays going on, high school productions, or maybe catch an off-Broadway show. Plays are better than movies for dates, as they offer more conversation.
- Visit an art gallery: even if you aren't particularly into art, an art gallery can offer great entertainment, and a change of scene.
- Play board games: for an inexpensive date that can be literally hours and hours of fun, board games are great. Also because there are so many different games out there you are sure to find out that interests everyone.
- Go to a drive-in movie: while it is still a movie it changes things up some. Stick a couch in the back of a truck, load up a cooler with drinks, and get some snacks, then snuggle in and enjoy a show or two.
- Go to a car show: many cities have expo centers that have regular car shows, etc. So, go to one, they often have other vendors as well, and can be quite interesting.
- Go to an ice skating show: ice skating is an interesting sport, and adds an interesting dynamic to a show, so try it out, you may find you like it more than you ever thought possible.
- Go to a concert: it could be a local college music group, a professional group, or just a battle of the bands at your local hot spot, but music is a great way to enjoy a date.
- Visit garage sales: it may not sound much like a date, but it can be a really fun thing to do with your significant other, and you never know what treasures you may find.
- Go to an air show: is there an air base nearby? How about a local airport? Often times such facilities have air shows, these are very entertaining, so watch for news about them, and go!
- Karaoke: it might be embarrassing but it is a lot of fun. So, dress up, and make a fool of yourself with your friends. This is a date best done in a larger group.
- Go out for a cultural dinner: don't just go to dinner, go somewhere new. Try a different culture, or an exotic dish. This simply adds interest to a common date activity.
- Visit a children's hospital: service is often a lot of fun, and what could be more fun then cheering up sick kids. So stop at the local dollar store, buy some toys, and have some fun.
- Go horseback riding: even if you do not own your own horses, there are places that will let you "rent" a horse by the hour, and often have guides, and specific trails and places to ride to. This is a great way to have fun conversation and get outdoors.
- Go dancing: many city centers offer dancing throughout the week, or try a club. Find a style of dance you like, country, ball room, or club style. Dress up and have fun!
