Going to a museum, an aquarium, or a sporting event like basketball, baseball, or soccer can be a lot of fun for double dates. A scavenger hunt can be fun for a double date. Each couple could have to go around the neighborhood and find certain items, or they could have to find parts of a dinner or breakfast for a certain amount of money in a grocery store.

There are some rules that if followed, can make double dating more enjoyable. For example, it is generally a good idea to participate in an activity that each member of the group can participate in. If one person has a broken leg and is on crutches it is not a very good idea for the double dating activity to be swimming or rock climbing.

Another rule of double dating would be to make sure there is time for interaction. Going to a movie does not give much time for either of the couples to talk to the each other or their very own date. Even if the two claim they are just friends and they are fine with being friends.
