Fun times with family

One of the best ways to strengthen the relationships within your family, is to simply have a good time with one another. It is when you fight, argue, and are angry around each other that relationships are damaged, strained, or ruined. So, find ways to have fun with your family, and enjoy the results of a happier, closer family bond.
The following are some fun ideas for ways to have fun with your family.

Get into games. No matter what your family ages are, or how different your personalities are, there is likely a game you could all get into and enjoy playing together. Games a great, inexpensive, and often time consuming way to have fun with family. On holidays, weekends, or just because, the family can gather around the table, and play a few rounds of UNO, a popular card game, of golf, another card game, hand and foot, Settlers, Tickets to Ride, or even something like Battleships or Guess who. The idea is to have fun though, so don't get too serious, or overly competitive, or your fun with games may turn into yelling and hurt feelings. Make sure everyone is a good sport, and you never rub losing into anyone's face.
Get outdoors. The outdoors provide ample opportunities for family fun. It is going to give you fun for big or small families. You can go on nature walks, hikes, bike rides, play a friendly game of kick ball, or softball, or waffle ball. You can play basketball in the drive way. You can swim at a pool, lake, river, or stream. You can build a tree house, or any number of other activities. The great outdoors is full of fun, free, recreational activities, so get your family outside and doing those together. You will benefit greatly by doing so.
Traditions. Family members remember traditions. So, have fun with your family by starting some. There are several different holidays and opportunities for establishing traditions. You can establish big traditions, like Christmas dinners, or Halloween parties, or you can establish smaller traditions like Friday night being taco dinner before the family all departs to their various activities and friends. Traditions are fun and help the bonds of a family grow stronger. You can create traditions out of anything, whether it is what you eat, how you spend a day, who opens what gift first, or the plate you get on your birthday. Fun times with family often center around the traditions you establish. Make fun traditions that your kids can count on when they need to know they are loved.
Having fun with your family members is not hard. It can be frustrating to live in such close proximity to one another some times, but if you learn to make it fun, then even tasks like cooking dinner can be enjoyable. You just have to crank up the toons, and all sing along. Or, make it a contest of who can do the most to get ready. Treat every interaction with your family as an opportunity for fun, and it will be.
