Get to the next level in relationships
Decide where you want to be. The fact is that not all relationships are meant to progress. You have to decide where you want to be. How close? How good of friends? Do you want someone you can tell all of your secrets, aspirations, hopes, and wishes to? Or, do you want someone who is fun to hang out with, but not more? What level of friendship do you want? Unless you know, it can be difficult to get there. So, determine how god of friends you want to be with someone, so that you can map out the path to get there.

Communicate with your friend. The next step when wanting to get to the next level in a relationship is to communicate with your friend what you want. You can call them and say, "We need to be better friends, let's go out this weekend so we can get to know each other better." It may sound silly, but chances are they will appreciate the suggestion. It is a good idea to communicate any concerns you have with your friend about the relationship you guys are founding. For example, you can say, "I want to be closer to you, but I feel like we never hang out with just us." This helps them understand your desire to get closer, and what you perceive as standing in the way of that.
Focus on commonalities and the positive sides of your relationship. An obstacle to getting to the next level in a relationship is when someone focuses on the flaws of one of the people involved. If you want to get to the next level in a relationship you have to remind yourself of the things that you like about the person, the positive memories, and the reasons you want to be close to them. If you let yourself focus on their negative sides or flaws, then you will see the relationship ruined before it ever has a chance to progress anywhere.
Spend time. Lastly, if you want to get to the next level in a relationship, you have to spend time together. It is hard to grow closer if you never take the time together to make memories, have fun, etc.
If your relationships are not progressing, it is important to make changes, or leave the relationship. As soon as a relationship gets stagnant, it is time to let it go, or work to change it. Relationships are not healthy if they are not progressing, so try the above steps to grow closer and improve relationships by taking them to the next level.
