Gift ideas for co-workers

giftbox36222432.jpgThere comes at least one time when we need to figure out what to give our co-workers as gifts for holidays, birthday, and special occasions. Giving a co-worker a gift for a holiday or occasion should come with a lot of thought put into it. Co-workers are people you do see five days a week. We all spend a lot of time with our co-workers at work, and not a lot of time outside of the office place. Selecting a gift can be simple for some co workers, but difficult for others.

Find an item that your co-worker can use in the office. If your co-worker is a coffee or tea drinker, find them a coffee mug that suits their personality, you can even personalize them, and then add their favorite coffee, tea or hot chocolate with the mug. Showing that you know who they are will make them smile and show you care.

If you have time at home, make your co worker something homemade. This shows that you have taken the time to put some thought and effort into what you made them. Such items can include homemade treats with your favorite recipes or some type of craft. If you choose to make a homemade treat, select a few of your favorite recipes and make that item. When you give your treat to your co-worker, include the recipe so they know that you want to share something you like with them. Selecting a craft to make can be a challenge, but select something that you know you can do and something that reflects who your co-worker is. It could be anything from a blanket, cross stitch or painting.

If you need to choose find something for your supervisor and want to go a little more expensive or appropriate, find something they could use in their office or something that will help them distress. Many specialties shops will have items such as a chair massager. This will help your supervisor to relax when they come in contact with a stressful situation. There are also items that are handheld that you can purchase. A stress ball is a great gift to give. A person call hold it in their hand while having a phone conversation or reading a report. It will help keep the tension out of their face and on the object. There are even small sandboxes that include rakes, rocks and object that they can bury and unbury. Selecting an item such as these will show that you know that your supervisor is under stress and you want to be able to help them relax.

Around the holiday's we can all be stressed about money and making sure we buy everyone a gift. If you have to get gifts for a lot of co-workers and you don't know what to get or don't have a lot of money, try shopping online, buying items in bulk or making something at home. Don't try to find a different item for every co-worker; this will only cause you stress and sleepless nights. If you live in a cold climate, try finding some scarves for a low amount of money. Buy different colors and hand them out randomly. If you want to make something from home, you can also make scarves. Purchasing the yarn or material you want to use can save you a lot of money when doing them yourself. Another great item you can purchase for co-workers are gift cards. Almost every company has some type of gift card you can buy. This will give your co-worker the opportunity to select something they need or give them a night out to eat with someone important.
