How to surprise your spouse
Do you feel like your relationship with you spouse is lacking the spark it used to have? Does it feel like it is the same routine and the same boring things over and over again? Maybe there is still a lot of passion, but you crave a little something more? A lot of times during a marriage, a couple may feel like their relationship is missing the spontaneity and fun that used to be there. A great way to bring back the feeling of excitement and love is to surprise your spouse here and there. It doesn't have to be anything big, but it will certainly leave your partner feeling more appreciated and allow the two of you to ignite that spark that may be fading a little. So whether you have been married for 2 months, 2 years, or even 20 years, here are some tips on things you can do to surprise your spouse!
Fix your spouse breakfast in bed. There is no better way to start the day than spending even a few minutes with the one you love.
Call your partner when you are apart during the day, just to tell them you love them and you can't stop thinking about them. What better feeling is there than to know that you are loved and adored?!

Make your other half a lunch to take with them if they leave the house for the day. But instead of just the regular sandwich and chips, add something a little more special in, like a little love note, their favorite CD, or even some of their favorite dessert. Put in anything that will make their day just a little bit brighter!
Wake up on a Saturday, or any day that both of you are free, and tell your spouse you have something fun planned. Don't give them any ideas about what's going on. Drive them to a special place that the two of you have, up to the mountains, or even just a park. Surprise them with a picnic with all kinds of their favorite foods and treats. It doesn't get much more romantic than a picnic, especially a surprise picnic!
If you are looking for a little bit bigger of a shock for your loved one, surprise them by taking them somewhere you know they want to go. It could be a concert, a play, a restaurant, even a vacation. It is particularly special to them if it is something you aren't keen on experiencing yourself. It is an amazing feeling to know your partner is doing something simply for you. Plus, you get the incredible experience of watching the one you love light up with joy over something they love.
Think of what you would do for an anniversary and do it on a regular day. Bring home flowers, dance with each other, go for a romantic dinner, maybe even go somewhere for the night. Your spouse will love that they are getting treated like a king or queen for no reason at all besides the fact that you love them!
Surprise your spouse with a little gift of something you know they have had their eye on-a shirt, a movie, anything you know they would love. It doesn't have to be expensive, just thoughtful.
There are many different ways to surprise your spouse and add a special zest to your relationship! As you can see, it doesn't have to be anything big or extraordinary, even just a simple phone call to say "I love you" can mean the world! You know this person better than anyone, just use your imagination and do things you know would make them feel special and adored!
