Low budget date idea

Dating is a great way to get to know someone better, and to have fun with someone, but sometimes it can get expensive. This is especially true if you go out on a lot of dates. The following is a look at some low budget dating ideas to help make it possible for you to date as much as you want without going broke in the process.

Cook: Meals together are always fun dates, but the cost of eating a meal out is significantly higher than that of cooking in. In addition, cooking for your date is going to be impressive, especially if it tastes good. Anyone can take you to a restaurant, but not everyone can cook. So, cook for your date, or cook together on the date. A fun idea is to record a cooking show, get the ingredients they call for, and cook a meal together by watching the host of the show explain the meal. Rachel Ray has some great 30 minute meals that are inexpensive and tasty.
Watch a game: A professional sporting event ticket can be extremely pricey, and the concessions, parking, etc. all add up. So, for you sports fans out there, make a fun date out of catching a game, just don't go to a professional game, or at least not the major professional teams. For example, a Yankee's baseball ticket is going to cost you several hundred dollars. A semi-pro team like the Orem Owls have $1 Sunday night games where hot dogs are also $1. You still get to see a game, (although maybe not as high a caliber game), and you save a bundle. Sporting events are great dates.
Movie night: Movies are popular dates but they cost an arm and a leg if you make them a regular routine. A movie with concessions is going to cost you $30 or more dollars for you and a date. So, instead, consider buying a movie and some treats. You can get movies at Wal-Mart for $5. True it is not the newest release, but it can still be fun and cost less. Or, go for an even tighter date budget, and get a promo code for the nearest Red Box and get a free movie. Pop your own popcorn, turn down the lights, and you are set. It is still fun, and cost effective.
Outdoor fun: The great outdoors is just that.great.for low budget dates. You can hit up a sledding hill on a winter night, and pack along a thermos of hot chocolate to make it more comfortable. You can hike to a water fall. You can make tin foil dinners, or cook over a campfire. You can fish. You can splash in a lake or river. You can do all sorts of different activities for low or no cost when taking advantage of nature. So, get adventurous and active and pack a picnic to take along for a fun low budget date.
