Relationships and connections are for everyone

In our lives we make connections and relationships with many people, and we should strive to continue to make these connections. While some relationships require extra effort to maintain, and seem to not be worth it, they are. Relationships, while not always easy, can be something that can provide security, be long lasting, and can help you withstand trials. Relationships and connections are for everyone, and should not be taken lightly.
Building an effective and lasting relationship is a necessity for several reasons. The way you relate with people makes up who you are, and how satisfied you are with life. Society is defined as a web of associations, and these associations lead to happiness, or frustration. These relationships require all parties to work and contribute in order to achieve a common goal, whether that goal is a happy marriage, a working friendship, or just a companion at work.

So, what can you do to make your relationships and connections last and work for a common good? Well, first you need to cooperate with each other to find respect and appreciation for the important role of each person.
It is important that you start by realizing the part you play in relationships. It is also important that you work to contribute and understand the roles others are to play. The effort to understand the other person's or people's concerns and positions constitutes an effective and efficient relationship. So, how do you show concern for them, and strengthen the relationship? This can be done by simply asking them what they want and listening to what they have to say. This means really listening. There are always road blocks to listening, and it is essential that you overcome these and learn about the other people, if you do this you will show the other people that that they matter, and they will feel the importance.
Effective and efficient relationships require open expression of feelings and positions on all matters that are pertinent to the relationship. Basically this means that you must be open in your communication. You can't assume the other people in your relationship are understanding what it is that you need, you have to ask, you have to tell or you might not have as good of a relationship as you could because there is sure to be some misunderstanding.
Respect is the key to relationships, so if you want to have a positive relationship, and make connections, it is important that you show some respect to the people you are connected with. You show respect by listening, understanding concerns, showing gratitude, and acknowledging efforts. Efficient relationships cannot exist in an environment where people form quick judgments based on unfounded facts and prejudice, so you have to learn to make your relationships and connections more efficient. Part of respect is respecting yourself.
The next thing you need to do is work to settle differences as quickly as possible. If the relationships are important to you then you will do this as soon as you can, and not let problems fester. You need to work to express what it is you are thinking. You need to try and settle differences by expressing your mind and in doing so building an effective relationship.
Relationships are important to everyone. Everyone is connected. But if you want your relationships and connections to work out well for you, you need to work at them. You need to strive each day to show respect, open your lines of communication, and be a better person to connect with.
